Toy vs Miniature vs Standard Size Doodles
If you are looking for a toy doodle you will want to find someone using a small toy poodle as the dad...not all puppies in the litter will grow to be toy size some will be bigger just because they will take after the mom size wise. The problem I have seen with using this combination of parents is puppies with stubby legs...think about it...a 70 lb dog bred with a 8 lb dog is bound to look a bit weird. I guess it's not really a problem, I just don't like the looks of stubby legs. You would probably be better off finding a puppy from a miniature parent be it a mini f1 labradoodle or mini f1 goldendoodle bred with a toy poodle...this would probably have less chance of being stubby legged and it would definitely have more chance of staying the appropriate size too. Your best bet of getting a dog this size will be with an f1b mini.
As you may or may not know doodles come in all different sizes now. Size mostly depends on the parents, of course, but can also be from grandparents and so on too. The smaller the dog is the more it will cost. You don't see very many toys around is why they would be more plus the litters would be smaller in size too. Miniatures often need to be bred artificially adding to the cost, plus they usually are more sought after because of their family friendly size. Standards are usually the easiest to find so they will normally cost less than minis and toys.
If you want a big furry friend than Standards are for you...they can be anywhere from 55 lbs and up....I say up because it's not uncommon to see 100 lb doodles. Obviously this breeding is with a Standard size poodle. Standard doodles are great dogs....all doodles are.
If you are looking for a miniature doodle, say if you don't want a little dog but you also don't want a huge dog....these are for you. You will want to find someone using a little bigger miniature poodle like 20 lbs. This will make the puppies be anywhere from 30 lbs to about 50 lbs or so. The puppies sizes do vary in the litter some will be smaller than others. They could also be a little bigger if the mom was bigger than say around 65 lbs. If the poodles body type is correct (square build, same height as length) you should not see stubby legs in this type of breeding.

F1 Goldendoodle 15" tall 20lbs.
F1B Mini Labradoodle 20" tall 35lbs.

F1B Standard Labradoodle 23" tall 65lbs.
I see no difference in personality due to size.
